Fast Cardio Workout Using Only Bodyweight Exercises
Don't have time to make
it to the gym (or hate going to gyms)? Watch this cardio workout video - that uses only bodyweight exercises - and
then give it a try...

I have a confession to make...I hate working out in gyms. They're dirty, loud and, just a flat out waste of
money. Add to that the fact that you have to wait for equipment (or worry about the sweat pool left behind by the
previous exerciser) and it's a perfect storm of "Get the hell outta here!"
The cool thing is you don't NEED to go to a gym to get in a quality workout -
including cardio...and I'm not talking about hitting the pavement for a jog or riding your bike.
More importantly, you don't need to buy expensive cardio equipment to do a workout that will burn loads of
Don't believe me?
Aside from the fact that I very rarely do "traditional" cardio - other than going for family walks or bike rides
- and I am able to maintain a pretty decent physique, it's just not necessary.
I made a bodyweight cardio workout for you to try so that you can see for yourself that cardio is
Fast Cardio Workout Using Your Own Bodyweight
So what do you think? Can you incorporate that bodyweight cardio workout into your own weight loss program?
Of course you can! Give it a try a few times per week, either adding it after your regular resistance workout,
or on "off days" and see for yourself. I feel pretty comfortable in saying you'll be stronger, leaner and your body
will thank you, especially if you've been having trouble losing weight the old fashioned way or if your knees, hips
or ankles have been bothering you due to running.
A common question I receive after showing people workouts like this is, "What time of day works best
for bodyweight cardio? Should I train in the morning, before I eat breakfast, or in the evening?"
The short answer is that it doesn't matter. Whenever you want to do the workout, and have time to do it, is when
you should train.
Do you HAVE to do it then to see any benefit? Nope.
You're busy. You have a ton on your plate, and you don't need an expert like me insisting you do a workout
program first thing in the morning, if you don't want to, or don't have the time or energy to do it first thing in
Personally, I can't train first thing in the morning. Besides the fact I'm working with clients at 5:30am, my
body just doesn't like it. My "sweet spot" is around lunch time (around 11:00), so that's when I try to schedule my
workouts (I say 'try' because sometimes that doesn't happen).
Another question I receive about this type of bodyweight workout is,
"How longs should I do it?" and that depends, again, on your schedule.
If you're busy like most parents, you're not going to be able to carve out a lot of time to do the workout,
which is why I designed it to be done in as little as 10 minutes.
So, if all you have is 10 minutes (after warming up), that's all you have to do. If you have 15 minutes, then do
the fast cardio workout for 15 minutes. 20 minutes? Do it for 20!
I don't like people to do this type of workout any longer than 20-25 minutes though, because it's not necessary
and your results may suffer if you do. The more tired you get from constantly bombarding your body with this type
of exercise, means the quality of the workout will suffer and if the quality of the workout suffers, there's no
point in continuing.
When I have the time, I like to throw in this type of bodyweight
cardio workout AFTER my regular 10-15 minute resistance workout. Sometimes that's 3 days per week, and others it's
With personal clients, I try to get them to do it after their regular workout 2 days per week, and then by
itself, as a stand alone weight loss workout, 2 days per week. I've found this to give the best fat loss results,
as well increasing whole body strength and helping the abs to start showing.
Give this workout a try and I guarantee you'll be amazed with the results!
